Dead Bodies

We get up, and we try to live.
We get down and we think about death.
Dead bodies, walking dead!
But death opened the door to embrace what is essential.

Essence invited us in the house of deathlessness;
Inputting sacred writings in the immortal realm of the soul.
Dreaming of this sacrifice to free our minds,
Locked in superficial deeds that most of us define as good and natural ones.

I used to be lively, you used to love me,
We cherished this essential connection,
But we did not belong to each other,
as you belong to the light and I belong to the earth.

And we had to come back to where we belong.

Then we get an insight,
We understand some reasons about this very fight.
This struggle between why we treat some people right,
And simultaneously, why we treat ourselves wrong. Insanity!

I was this banyan tree and you were those rays of light,
Co-existing to give life to something that we desired.
For immortality is reached when ;
We touch the hand of our purpose,
We talk to the being within ourselves,
We smile at the child we have always been,
We give thanks to each heartbeat, to each time

We were “We”.
